For research to have real-world impact, practitioners and policy makers must find the analysis both credible and compelling before deciding to take action based upon it. Yet these twin conditions of rigor and relevance are frequently presumed to be at odds. POPN seeks to counter this myth by showing how rigorous scholarship can be conducted on problems of direct relevance to managers.Â
In this section, we post insights that demonstrate how to move beyond placing stretched managerial implications at the end of manuscripts, to fully frame studies around the development of actionable evidence-based solutions to important managerial problems.
